Control Resonant Reviews breakdown, Wolverine impacts on Sony, and more, The Best Gaming Podcast 612
We’re talking Wolverine, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and Control Resonant, including our thoughts on the latest gameplay, reviews, impressions, and what each game is bringing to the table. We also dive back into GTA, the latest news and rumors surrounding Rockstar’s massive franchise, and what’s actually worth paying attention to. Plus, we break down the biggest gaming news of the week, industry developments, upcoming releases, and whatever else managed to catch fire before we hit record. Wolverine. The Blood of Dawnwalker. Control Resonant. GTA. Reviews, news, opinions, arguments, and probably at least one completely unnecessary tangent. It’s another episode of The Best Gaming Podcast with ACG.
Control Resonant, Sony Dumps Kojima, Wolverine Rage
Then we descend back into the Marvel mines as Jeff and Janet weigh in on Insomniac's Wolverine and the reaction to the reviews online. Then we answer questions submitted on Patreon by the community and award the iam8bit question of the week! You can win a prize and help make the show better by supporting us on Patreon and submitting a question!
Wolverine Is a Disaster
Most of the time, we chat about games we enjoy. So many games debut every week, and picking promising new ones is relatively easy. But every so often, a game with high expectations ends up being a colossal disappointment. Wolverine, we’re sad to say, is one of those games. And yet, we’re making lemonade from lemons. Because all of Wolverine’s flaws make for a good conversation about what we expect (and hope for) from video games. Especially ones that cost so much. Speaking of expensive stuff: Frush shares hands-on impressions with the Steam Frame. Want more episodes?
264: A Lot Going on in Video Game Town
PlayStation dropped Kojima Productions' Physint... and Xbox picked it up. Nintendo showed the Ocarina of Time remake, and then went and announced a new 2D Metroid. Blizzard revealed a StarCraft shooter for 2030, Diablo V for 2029, and a forever version of World of Warcraft. Insomniac's Wolverine came out. Obviously this is a lot to talk about, and we do our best with all of it on this week's show!
